The set of 6 garden arm chairs / garden furniture’s shows yellow and blue paint fragments.
This marvelous set was designed by Julius Jirasek circa 1955 and executed by Werkstätte Hagenauer, Vienna.
Julius Jirasek (1896-1965) Austrian architect and for many years at the staff by (workshop) Werkstätten Hagenauer.
Julius Jirasek studied under Josef Frank and Oskar Strnad at the Kunstgewerbeschule. Julius Jirasek design pieces like furniture’s and utensils are very popular. Also Jirasek designed two houses for the Wiener Werkbundsiedlung (house nrs 33-34).
These outdoor seating’s are very solid and stabile and perfect to use indoor as well as outdoor. The beech wooden slats are in very good original condition.
Carefully cleaned to preserve the original condition by the expert´s hand of our atelier.
The arm chairs were designed and made out for the terrace of the Hotel Sacher in Baden bei Wien in the surroundings near Vienna.
