Industrial Bulkhead Lights By Maxlume Circa 1960s. Heavy cast steel casings – Prismatic glass with geometric design – The casings have been stripped and lightly polished – Metal parts have been clear lacquered – Porcelain bulb holders – Takes E27 fitting bulbs – Salvaged from Fawley Power Station, Hampshire – English ~ Circa 1960s – 30cm tall x 20m wide x 24cm deep – 9KG Maxlume. Lighting Maxlume was established during the 1920s in Birmingham, England, manufacturing a large range of lighting fixtures. During the pre-war and post war years the company expanded rapidly By the mid 1950s the company had been taken over by Verity’s, although the lights were still manufactured under the registered Maxlume mark. Fawley Power Station 1960s Condition Report The lights are fully re wired and working with new electrical parts, the inside glass edges may have some cracks from where they were originally set into the hot concrete putty, however it is not visible when the lights are closed and installed.
