Beautiful Louis XIV style chest designed by Laura Kirar for Baker Furniture. Six beautifully lined drawers. Center decorative panel features circular wood trim with decorative hardware in the center. Carved and curving trim wraps the bottom sides and front of this chest. Trim detail around each drawer face elevates this dresser further. The finish on the body is a light gray with a white washed finish on top giving it a more dimensional patina. Intentional distressing by the manufacturer lends an air of aged elegance. The bronze look hardware is original to the piece and contrasts nicely with the neutral finish. This would be lovely in a foyer or bedroom or anywhere you need the elegance of a “Louis”’!

moreThis beautiful chest by Baker Furniture came to us unfinished and “new, out of box” and has never been used in a home. It was in outstanding condition when we received it. You may notice small marks beneath the finish, but that is actually “distressing” done by Baker Furniture to give the piece the patina of age and use. The finish is an undercoat of BM Light Pewter with a light wash of BM Simply White over the Light Pewter. This gives depth and an elegant aged look to the piece. The finish is not a Baker Furniture finish and was selected by Fred + Ted HOME. The pulls are original to the piece and stand out beautifully against the light grey and white. All work was performed by North Carolina furniture industry professionals. less
