Vintage Design
Striking set of two large edition metal Anvia wall sconces model ‘Kite’, produced during the seventies. The design is by J.J.M. Hoogervorst. Simple and clever designed uplighters that are very easy to mount to the wall and can be positioned in a symmetrical way, a playful way or as a lighting sculpture. The neutral shape and color makes them easy to adapt in any type of interior, from midcentury minimal to postmodern. Together with Hala, Raak and Artimeta, Anvia was leader on the Dutch market for modernist lighting during the sixties and seventies. The designs are influenced by the work of Stilnovo, Lyfa and Hans Agne Jakobssson.
Each light has a normal E27 bulbholder, suitable for modern LED bulbs. Hardwire in the wall possible.
Both great condition for instant use in your home or gallery: all parts are checked, wiring replaced through the whole fixture. New white, 2.60 cm cable.
