Gorgeous Antique British Victorian Brass Bird Cage with pullout tray.

This unique English brass Victorian Bird Cage has an 8-sided base and is in beautiful condition for its age. It also has a pull-out tray for cleaning bird droppings, and the exterior of this tray has some small indentations from usage.

The cage was imported from England by Red Crow Antiques of Bedford, NY in the late 1970’s. Although probably designed to house larger birds or parrots, the cage has been used as a decorative custom display of two small birds, flowering branches, and nests. It would be ideal for display on a sun porch or a special spot in your home. We are Anglophiles who are now retired and downsizing. The cage is about 33 inches high and about 24 inches in diameter.

We are not sure of the cage’s exact age. It most probably was created between 1850 and 1920. Although we are sure it is an antique, we unfortunately only know the general period but not the decade.
